Ziauddin University traces its roots to a small maternity home opened in Nazimabad, Karachi by Dr Aijaz Fatima (daughter of Sir Dr Ziauddin Ahmad) and her husband Dr Tajammul Hussain, which grew into Dr Ziauddin Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (1994) and then Ziauddin Medical University (1995), chartered as Ziauddin University in 2005. Ziauddin College of Dentistry launched its BDS program in January 2010.

Admission criteria
