Wah Medical College was established in December 2003 by the Pakistan Ordnance Factories Welfare Trust (POFWT) and Pakistan Ordnance Factories Board Wah Cantonment (POFBWC) to expand quality medical education in the region. It is built on a 200-kanal purpose-built campus and is the first medical college encountered when entering Punjab from KPK.
