CMH Lahore Medical College was inaugurated by then-President General Pervez Musharraf on 6 November 2006, conceived by Lt Gen Shafaat Ullah Shah, Corps Commander Lahore at the time, and built within five months by renovating existing cantonment buildings. Its Institute of Dentistry followed and was inaugurated in 2008.

Admission criteria
