Bannu Medical College was established in August 2006 by then-KPK Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani, with the Health Department notification issued on 31 August 2006 and an inauguration ceremony held on 18 December 2006. A permanent campus in Bannu Township, approved in 2009 with construction starting in 2013, was finally completed and opened in March 2021.
Location
Bannu is a historic garrison town in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa near the border with the former FATA region, long serving as a frontier trade and military outpost during British colonial rule.
